Who is Stephisha Walton? I, Stephisha Walton, am an individual who has been nurtured from the ground up. I am a woman who believes that hard work, persistence, loyalty, and dedication make for a solid foundation when traveling along this journey called life. Discovering a passion for basketball is a mere fraction of my being, but 100% of the time, it is my foundation. Basketball has raised me to be a better student, a better friend, a thinker, and an individual who refuses to quit when situations and circumstances say otherwise.
I am a kinesiology, exercise science, major at Cal Poly Pomona University. After graduating, I will go on to attend medical school and eventually finish as Dr. Walton in the field of pediatrics. As a student, I have grown to realize that anything is possible if you allow yourself to use the full extent of your brain. All too often we "short-change" ourselves and do not realize until it's too late. I have never and will never be that person. | My first love... Not many are able to discover their true passion, and some people will search an entire lifetime for that ONE thing that will make them push past their pain. Mental, physical, and emotional pain are elements of being that not everyone experiences to their full extent, but I have. Basketball has been the one thing in my life that has caused me to be sad, laugh, cry, yell, think, rejoice, and push past my comfort level.
I breathe basketball...to have the opportunity to do something I love for as long as i choose would mean that I have reached my true potential in life. Basketball is one of the two things that I appreciate whether the day is full of sunshine or rain, sprints til I vomit or dribbling relay races. |
Vital Statistics...
Height: 5'11", 180.34cm
Weight: 160lbs, 72.57kg Position: 2-4 Class: Senior High School: St. Patrick-St. Vincent (Vallejo, Ca, USA) College: Cal Poly Pomona University Current Team: Black Star Mersch, Luxembourg ,Europe I am a very aggressive player and play best on the perimeter. Slashing to the basket, as well as dribble-driving are the strongest aspects of my offensive abilities. In the video to the right, you will notice that I am playing the 4 and 5 position; that is where I was needed this season, so I played the role as effectively as I could. Nothing is out of the question for me as a basketball player. Defense is my favorite aspect of the game. I take pride in not getting scored on. Rebounding is another area that I feel very strong about because it allows my team to have more opportunities. The small things that will not show on a score sheet at the end of the game are the things I do not mind doing. | Updates/Highlight Film...
